Jon von Boehm | Bass
Jon von Boehm is an acclaimed bass player from Nashville, TN, with a remarkable 38-year journey in music. His early experiences in church performances shaped his craft and ignited his passion for music. As a teenager, he embraced jazz, collaborating with seasoned musicians and contributing to soundtracks for television and commercials, showcasing his versatility.
Before establishing himself in Nashville, Jon studied under bass virtuoso Jeff Berlin in Florida, which significantly influenced his musical growth. His time in Tampa allowed him to connect with diverse musicians, enriching his skills and keeping him at the forefront of his craft while also pursuing education at the Players School of Music.
Jon’s self-titled debut album highlights his collaboration with Nashville's finest musicians and artists worldwide. Known for his technical prowess and storytelling through music, he creates emotionally charged experiences for listeners. Whether performing, recording, or teaching, Jon’s unwavering enthusiasm continues to leave a lasting impact on the music scene.

Troy Atkins | Saxophone
Hailing from the Baltimore/Washington, DC area and armed with a master’s degree in music, saxophonist Troy Atkins has shared the stage with Jack Johnson, The New Mastersounds, The Marcus King Band, Alan Evans, Eddie Roberts, Danny Gokey, The Ray Charles Band, Jimmy Dorsey Big Band, Jon Faddis, Carl Allen, Bob Mintzer, Jason Masi, Levi Stephens, and The Kelly Bell Band.
Troy is a former band member of the DC/MD funk powerhouse, Higher Hands, and has toured with the 1960’s soul icons, The Impressions, as well as Tennessee soul artist DeRobert and The Half Truths. Now residing in Nashville, Troy plays with local bands including Freddie Holt & The After Five Tux, The Gripsweats, AJ & The Jiggawatts, and various others in the area.
Troy has an extensive discography and his band, Higher Hands, was recognized as Funk Artist of the Year in the 2016 Maryland Music Awards, featuring Troy’s saxophone on the album “Stay Sharp”. More recently in 2022 and 2024 respectively, Troy recorded an EP and a single with a new band, Toyesauce, featuring a recording collaboration between musicians in Austin, New Orleans, and Nashville. This was also received with rave reviews.

Jake Patterson | Guitar
Born in Seattle Washington, Jake Patterson grew up in the shadow of the grunge era. He found an early love for jazz and rock and was able develop as an artist in the local Seattle scene. He then went to Berklee College of Music, in Boston, and focused on being a precise, versatile guitarist.
In 2017 he came to Nashville, where he began to musically cut his teeth, and worked to keep up with the city’s plethora of talented players. He’s since become an in demand guitarist for blues/soul, rock, jazz, Latin, pop, and country bands. Jake is renowned for his tastefulness, versatility, creativity, and technique as a guitarist.
Jake plays with The Aly Cutter Band, the Jeff Woods Band, and Kiran Gupta’s Cage Free around the Nashville area. He’s often called as a session guitarist for local producers. Jake’s mission is to best serve whatever music or group he’s playing with; both by listening to respectfully find his place and by discovering ways to inject emotion and originality to push the music further. Jake hopes to bring comfort, catharsis, and inspiration with his music.
Cory Ponder | Drums
Cory Ponder, a versatile drummer and accomplished musician, hails from Tifton, Georgia. His musical journey began with a homemade drum kit crafted from five-gallon buckets, tobacco stalks, and electrical tape, Cory's passion for rhythm quickly flourished.
His dedication to music earned him a full scholarship to Jacksonville State University, where he played snare for the esteemed Marching Southerners and participated in the Drum Corps International circuit, performing on quads for Southwind and snare for Carolina Crown and Cavaliers.
In 2007, Cory relocated to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he seamlessly blended his career in technology with his passion for music. As a composer, studio musician, sound engineer, and live performer, he has cultivated a diverse portfolio that spans classical concert performances, avant-garde jazz improvisations, and a variety of live engagements from downtown Nashville to local worship services.
Currently, Cory operates Redison Studios, a full-service recording studio, where he produces original music and collaborates with numerous bands with recording and rehearsals for live performances. He continues pushing his craft's boundaries, embodying a commitment to musical excellence and innovation.
